About the Artists
Jim Clemenson
Jim Clemenson is a multidisciplinary creative that finds fulfillment with many mediums, but generally takes a photographic approach with his art and design work. He is not a native of northern Indiana, but has—along with his family—called South Bend home for the last decade.
Jim’s anachronistic series Grandpa’s Toolbox is a compilation of intricate assemblages built from his collection of vintage artifacts…well used trade tools and curiosities that have caught his eye with their interesting form, function, or utility—and present enough patina, rust, or daily use—to tell a story.

Neal Gwaltney
Neal Gwaltney is an Adjunct Professor, Beginning Drawing and Printmaking, at the University of Notre Dame. His work ranges from large oil and charcoal paintings to small, one-of-a-kind sculptural pieces. His dolls and puppets consist of various materials that include but are not limited to celluclay, paperclay, plaster, sculpey, glass, fabrics and textiles, wire etc. etc.

Kay Westhues
Kay Westhues was raised in Indiana and her art practice has been based in the Midwest for most of her life. She studied art at Rhode Island School of Design, and earned an MS in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University and an MA in Folk Studies from Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, KY. Her work includes several long-term photography projects that incorporate video, sound, drawing, and ethnography.

Connect 2 Be The Change

The mission of Connect 2 Be The Change is to decrease gun violence by creating and maintaining a sustainable peer-to-peer environment that encourages youth and young adults in our community to seek healing through therapy, counseling, therapeutic workshops, community service and immersive trips outside the city, that assist them to build new and healthy social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
They will be bringing work made in their “Pop n Heal” Workshops, where participants create jewelry from beads and discarded ammunition.
